In a Nutshell

China. That about sums up my life. My husband’s roots run deep as a southern boy from Tennessee. Yet, he spent several years of his childhood in Beijing, China with his family. He speaks fluent mandarin and dreams about the exotic food. Since meeting him, my life has revolved around China. While living in Canada we were surrounded by Chinese friends. We spent two years of our lives planning our move to China. Now we’re here and I’m catching up on the culture, language and charm of this place.

I keep busy with three little blonde girls. Lois, Abigail and Naomi are my precious gifts from God. They keep life exciting. While they speak Chinese without effort, they don’t look a bit Chinese! However, they fit into the culture here in China and they aren’t afraid to try new things. They are energetic and bombastic little creatures who know how to show love!

I’m excited about the many opportunities we have been given. I’m excited to Have learned another language. I’m excited to raise my kids in a different culture with the same God. We cannot do what we need to do without God’s help. With his help, however, our life will be beyond imagining.
